Lowe’s is seeking a customer-focused associate in Columbia, SC to provide SMART customer service, assist customers in locating and loading merchandise, and answer product questions. You will operate the register, process transactions, ensure proper change, and help maintain store security and cleanliness.

You will also train teammates, support checkout coverage, manage orders and price checks, and uphold Lowe’s policies across interactions with customers and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsabilidades

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s policies and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects
• Communicates information about stock, special orders, features, applications and warranties for Lowe’s programs
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities (CSA Front End Team)
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns and refunds per company guidelines
• Ensures accurate monetary change and handles register operations per policy
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
• Supports line vesting and checkout coverage by opening additional registers as needed
• Prepares register area at shift start/end, tests functionality and restocks supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and verifies customer orders, prints tickets, verifies receipts and signs loading tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches competitor items as needed
• Records items used in store on use lists and performs daily reconciliation duties
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels to stay within limits
• Monitors store entrances/exits and assists customers or associates triggering alarms
• Detects shoplifting and security risks and reports to management/Asset Protection
• Adheres to housekeeping standards and zones for cleanliness and organization
• Maintains a safe work environment and conducts daily safety reviews
