Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a store associate focused on delivering top-notch customer service in a busy retail environment in Greer, SC.

You will assist customers in locating and loading merchandise, demonstrate product features, and answer questions about stock, special orders, and warranties. The role includes operating the cash register, processing transactions, handling refunds, and maintaining register readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects in-store
• Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per company guidelines
• Provides proper monetary change to Front End associates for register activities
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise
• Prepares register area at start/end of shift and stocks supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches
• Records store use items on use lists
• Performs cash counting and daily reconciliation
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler
• Monitors store entrances/exits and assists customers or associates with alarms
• Detects shoplifting and other security risks and communicates to management/Asset Protection
• Maintains housekeeping standards and store organization
• Maintains safe and secure work environment including daily safety reviews
• Adheres to safety requirements for regular duties and equipment
• Operates store equipment including scanners, cash recycler, copiers, CCTV, etc.
• Performs additional duties as assigned
