Job summary

Lowe's in Mount Pleasant, SC is hiring for a customer service-oriented Retail Cashier who will provide SMART assistance and support across the store. You will greet customers, locate products, demonstrate features, and help load merchandise while following Lowe's policies.

You will process sales at the register, handle returns, protect store assets, and assist in opening/closing procedures as needed. Prior cashier or retail experience is preferred, along with basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand his/her needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in the various departmental duties or sales opportunities (CSA Front End Team)
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
