Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking an associate to provide excellent customer service, assist shoppers, and operate the checkout area in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help customers locate products, demonstrate features, and guide them through loads, returns and payments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, minimal computer use, and familiarity with retail technology. You will support team members and ensure store security and accuracy in transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating or loading merchandise
• Listens to customer questions and walks them through projects when necessary
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders and prints order tickets
