Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with daily operations. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining front-end efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training, strong communication, and the ability to multitask while ensuring accuracy and compliance with store policies.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, and able to interact with customers as a role model.
• Able to operate front end equipment: register, calculator and scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks and multi-task while staying organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., push carts up to 35 lbs., and stand as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide guidance at registers and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register when they arise.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Help in hiring and training new Cashiers and address disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
