Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego in Mission Valley is seeking a Lead Case Manager for the Safe Parking Program. You will mentor staff, conduct intakes and assessments, and develop service plans to promote financial stability and eventual rehousing.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires evenings, weekends, and holidays. Onsite work from 1:00pm–9:00pm, Monday to Friday; located in Mission Valley. Pay is $24–$25/hour plus generous benefits, 401(k) contributions, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in housing/homelessness case management or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and desire to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of local social services and resources.
• Knowledge of Clarity data entry and homeless court referrals.
• Comfort in using a computerized client management system.
• Experience working with persons in crisis and researching resources addressing poverty.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and mentor teammates.
• Conduct intake and assessments for new participants.
• Develop service plans focused on financial stability and rehousing.
• Provide individualized resources and referrals to community programs.
• Maintain up-to-date client records in management systems.
• Complete required program statistic reporting accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with other service providers for comprehensive services.
• Meet bi-weekly with supervision.
• Oversee interns during program operations.
• Assist in weekly workflows with Supervisor.
• Provide follow up with clients on caseload.
