Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is hiring a Case Manager for the Safe Parking Program. This role involves conducting intakes, developing service plans, and providing ongoing advocacy for families and individuals living in their cars. The Case Manager will also work collaboratively with other service providers. Candidates should have at least a year of experience in case management, strong communication skills, and knowledge of local resources. The position offers a pay rate of $23-$24/hour and full-time hours with benefits including healthcare coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least one-year experience in similar housing/homelessness case management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Sensitivity to cultural differences in the service population.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and assessments for new participants within 3 days.
• Develop service plans focused on financial stability and re-housing.
• Provide ongoing follow-up with clients on caseload.

Skills

Experience in housing/homelessness case management services

Excellent communication

Knowledge of local social services/community resources

Comfortable using computerized client management system
