Swissport in the United States is seeking a cargo shift supervisor to efficiently manage, motivate and engage staff while ensuring delivery of customer airline targets. The role requires leadership across warehouse, ramp and office functions and strict adherence to policies and brand values.

You will monitor shifts, oversee reporting to customers and management, control labour and equipment costs, and maintain safety, training and quality standards on a 24/7 basis.

Competenze

• High School diploma or higher
• Minimum of 5 years experience within the industry
• Thorough working knowledge of Cargo, Warehouse and Ramp processes
• Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of the Operation Office function
• Good working knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office
• Customer focus and quality awareness with high standards
• Strong resource management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in inclement weather

Mansioni

• Control and monitoring of the shift and work activities
• Accountability for production of accurate Handling Reports for customers and management
• Maintain cost control on labour and equipment while on shift
• Manage staff across warehouse, ramp and office to maximise productivity
• Monitor sickness on a shift-to-shift basis and conduct sickness interviews
• Maintain compliance in Health & Safety, Training and Quality
• Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders
• Monitor and control Reception operations
• Monitor site security in line with CAA and Company requirements
