Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Lead Cargo Agent in Philadelphia to supervise cargo staff and back up the Customer Service Supervisor. You will help maintain safe operations and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include assigning workloads, training staff, ensuring policy compliance, coordinating with other departments, and managing cargo inventory while upholding security standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess and maintain valid US driver's license.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing including drug testing and a physical.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to lift 35 lbs repetitively.
• Able to obtain and maintain required airport and badge seals.
• Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• One-year college certificate or technical school, six months related experience or equivalent combination.
• Certification in dangerous goods awareness/acceptance.
• Previous customer service experience in a lead role preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to work specific jobs at front counter or airline account.
• Trains employees on work area and company procedures.
• Ensures employees are trained on policies, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Interfaces with departments to address service issues and ensure quality.
• Adheres to uniform guidelines and code of conduct.
• Inventory of freight to ensure proper cargo accounting.
• Follows all security procedures as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
