Job summary

Quantem Aviation Services is seeking a Lead Cargo Agent in Charlotte, NC. The role coaches peers, expedites and routes incoming and outgoing cargo for air transportation, and ensures adherence to safety standards during handling of shipments.

Responsibilities include pallet handling, organizing freight, and safe loading/unloading, with on-the-job training and advancement opportunities available. A high school diploma is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• SIDA airport badge or background check is required for this location.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.
• Ensures all safety standards are met and maintained.
• Identifies cargo that does not meet standards and guidelines.
• Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan.
• Safely loads and unloads freight and cargo for air transportation.
