Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver in Washington to support our clients with essential daily living activities and training new caregivers. You will cover critical shifts, including fill-ins and training shifts, and must be available on short notice across assigned branches.

Requirements include a valid WA driver’s license with active auto insurance, 1 year of home care experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and access to AxisCare on a smartphone.

Qualifications

• Must have consistent access to reliable transportation and a valid WA driver’s license with active auto insurance.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in home care, hospital, or nursing home setting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• Proficient with smartphone apps and scheduling software (AxisCare).
• WA state NAC/CNA or HCA license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as meals, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in daily activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands using your own vehicle.
• Assist with transfers using gait belt or Hoyer when needed.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to supervisors.
• Perform light household chores as required.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches of service areas.

REQUIRED: must be able to transport clients in reliable vehicle, have WA Driver's license and active auto insurance.

Current Needs:

Tuesday-Saturday open availability from 8am or 9am to 5pm or 6pm

Friday-Monday or Tuesday from 8am or 9am to 5pm or 6pm

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
