Job summary

Family Resource Home Care seeks Lead Caregivers for our new Klamath Falls office. Lead caregivers support clients with daily living activities, accompany them on errands, and provide training to new caregivers. On-call availability is required to cover shifts across multiple branches.

Applicants must be 18+, pass background checks, hold a valid driver’s license with insurance, and have 1 year of care experience. AxisCare app usage is expected, and positions offer paid training and travel time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass state and national background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• One year experience in home care or related setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app access.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Perform household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in daily activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to appointments or errands using your vehicle.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice (on-call) during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule:

Schedule 1: Monday-Friday 7a-5pm
Schedule 2: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7a-5p

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate:

$23 hr

*Required* - All Leads must have a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance in their name.

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
