Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Washington state is seeking a Lead Caregiver to support clients in activities of daily living, including mobility, meal prep, and companionship. Ideal candidates are CNA/HCA certified with a clean driving record and reliable transportation, available to work Tue–Sat 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to pass a state and national background check.
• Valid WA driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app access.
• WA Only - CE if HCA.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Household chores and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to errands or appointments in your car.
• Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers.
• Monitor and report on clients' condition.

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

$22.00/hr

Lead Caregiver Schedule

• TUESDAY through SATURDAY from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

*Must be able to maintain availability for regular schedules of TUE - SAT 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility to stay later when needed.*

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be CNA Certified or HCA Certified in the state of WA.
• Must have a valid Washington State Driver's license, valid auto insurance and a reliable vehicle
• Comfortable driving to all serviced areas, commute times and be over an hour long

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only - If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check

• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
