Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader and deliver exceptional resident care. You will coach the caregiving team, ensure adherence to care plans, and coordinate coverage to maintain consistent quality of service.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid and medications certification, strong communication, and experience in assisted living.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications required.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
