Job summary

South Texas Health System in Texas is seeking a Senior Technologist to function in the Cardiac Cath Laboratory during assigned shifts, performing advanced duties while leading projects and special responsibilities. This role acts as the primary liaison between management, staff, physicians, and vendors to ensure exceptional patient care and safety.

It requires 2 years of Special Procedure and radiographer experience, Texas MRT license, ARRT licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with CCI

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program and hold a valid Texas MRT license.
• ARRT certification with current standing; CCI RCIS/RCES for non-radiologic technologists.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications per unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced clinical duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab during assigned shifts.
• Serve as liaison between management, staff, physicians and vendors.
• Support staffing productivity through scheduling and assignments.
• Conduct QA audits and implement quality improvements.
• Train and mentor staff; participate in performance evaluations.
• Lead special projects and report performance data and metrics.
• Participate in rotational call with RT and RCIS staff.
• Maintain compliance with TDSHS and TJC standards.
