Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Associate Director-Capital Infrastructure Projects to lead programs for utility clients in the Southwest, focusing on grid transformation, infrastructure expansion, and technology innovation. Qualifications

• US Citizen or US Permanent Resident required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, public policy and/or related discipline and 7+ years’ post-graduation project management experience in the power utilities sector.
• Knowledge of capital projects and project management lifecycle beyond IT projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and stakeholder/financial management.
• Excellent data visualization, synthesis, and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Proposal writing experience including budget development and coordinating inputs from SMEs.
• Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite at Guidehouse or client locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor project teams and coordinate projects and workstreams.
• Monitor and evaluate project activities and overall performance.
• Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and strategy.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Oversee contracts and project financials.
• Establish and report on key performance indicators.
• Analyze project data and derive insights to optimize performance.
• Identify problems and propose practical solutions.
• Provide operational support, including stakeholder liaison and timeline tracking.
• Coach teams on adopting project management methodologies and drive change.
• Coordinate with client account and project teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Support growth and client satisfaction within accounts.
• May include grants management compliance.
