Guidehouse in Los Angeles seeks an Associate Director-Capital Infrastructure Projects to lead capital programs for power utilities in the Southwest. You will drive advisory, capital delivery, engineering studies, financial management, grants, regulatory compliance, and technology transformation with a focus on grid modernization and electrification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, public policy and/or related discipline and 7+ years’ PM experience in power utilities.
Knowledgeable in capital projects life cycle beyond IT project management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with stakeholder and financial management.
Ability to visualize data, synthesize insights and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and collaborate with teams.
Proposal writing experience including budget development and timelines.
Willingness to travel and work onsite.

Responsibilities

Managing and mentoring project teams and coordinating projects and workstreams.
Monitoring and evaluating project activities and overall performance.
Contributing to planning, budgeting and strategy.
Preparing, reviewing and maintaining project documentation and reports.
Oversee and maintaining project contracts and financials.
Establishing and reporting on key performance indicators.
Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance.
Identifying problems and proposing solutions.
Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders and tracking timelines.
Coaching adoption of project management methodology.
Coordinating with client account and project teams to develop innovative solutions.
Supporting growth and client satisfaction within client account teams.
