Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Associate Director - Capital Projects & Infrastructure to lead multi-disciplinary project teams delivering strategic advisory, capital project delivery, engineering studies, financial management, and regulatory compliance for utility clients in the Arizona/Southwest region.

The role emphasizes grid transformation, infrastructure expansion, technology innovation, sustainability, and electrification initiatives, with travel as needed and close collaboration with clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, public policy or related discipline is required.
• Seven+ years post-graduation experience managing major capital projects in the power utilities sector.
• Experience with commercial management of large-scale infrastructure programs (transmission/distribution, nuclear, hyperscale, etc.).
• Knowledge of all capital projects and project management lifecycle beyond IT project management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data visualization skills.
• Experience with stakeholder and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead project teams; coordinate projects and workstreams.
• Monitor and evaluate project activities and overall performance.
• Contribute to planning, budgeting, and strategy.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Oversee contracts and project financials; ensure compliance.
• Establish and report on key performance indicators.
• Analyze project data to drive insights and performance improvements.
• Identify risks and issues and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with client account and project teams to develop solutions.
• Support growth and client satisfaction within project teams.
