Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County seeks a Lead Skilled Maintenance Worker to oversee campus facilities and perform maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting trades. The role coordinates work and ensures safe, reliable operation of campus systems.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with vocational training or apprenticeship. A valid driver’s license and applicable trade licenses are required; in-person work at Main Campus with on-site responsibilities and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and completion of vocational school certification or an apprenticeship program as required by applicable trade.
It is the requirement to comply with safety practices and annual training.
Must hold required trade certifications/licensures listed for the role.

Responsibilities

Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform skilled-maintenance duties across trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting.
Support campus facilities with routine maintenance and major projects coordination.
Read blueprints, drawings and schematics and operate related equipment.
