Carlow University on the Pittsburgh campus seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join the Facilities team. This journey-level, multi-trade position supports carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, painting, masonry, and mechanical systems to keep the campus safe, functional, and welcoming for students and staff.

You will lead helpers, work hands-on, and uphold the university’s mission while ensuring quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance, with at least two trades.
• Ability to lead helpers and work independently.
• Ability to read pencil sketches and diagrams.
• Willingness to perform a wide range of trades in a hands-on environment.

Responsabilités

• Repair doors, frames, and furniture; fabricate partitions; operate wood-working tools.
• Paint interiors and perform masonry work related to buildings and foundations.
• Install/maintain plumbing fixtures, steam lines, and piping for steam/water.
• Install electrical circuits and lighting; service fans and related components.
• Perform snow removal and assist with roofing/corrosion repairs when needed.
