Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal, live-in position offers competitive pay, a bonus structure, and full room & board for the contract period, with travel allowance and opportunities to lead a dynamic team across vibrant camp communities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts with strict allergen controls.
• Maintain allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.).
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting and budgets.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
