Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to drive requirements across business and technology teams. You will elicit needs, model processes, and translate them into actionable user stories for agile delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in business analysis, experience with Confluence/Jira, and a background in clearinghouse activities. Hybrid work is supported, with strong collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business system analysis or related field.
• Experience in Agile and software development.
• Preferred business experience in clearinghouse activities.
• Flexibility working with remote teams in alternate time zones.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
• Experience using Confluence and Jira.
• Experience with process modeling tools such as Draw.io or Visio.
• Preferred analytical mindset focusing on integrations across services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with both the business and technology teams to align priorities.
• Identify scope gaps and determine requirements for current and future states.
• Plan product team dependencies and coordinate resolution.
• Analyze stakeholder needs and define key business requirements.
• Perform requirements analysis, story decomposition, system integration analysis, and data flow design.
• Engage in agile activities including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Advise the Product Owner on next steps and approvals.
• Build high-quality user stories with acceptance criteria for the Scrum team.
• Provide requirement and design support to the Scrum team.
• Support UI/UX teams with interface requirements and design.
• Assist in test planning and verification of results.
• Foster cross-team collaboration and define acceptance criteria for integrated components.
• Adhere to analysis best practices for epics and user stories.
