Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a data analytics engineer to expand our analytics capabilities and build an internal analytics data warehouse. You will own ETL processes, data modeling and support teams across the organization in leveraging data for dashboards and insights.

You will design cloud infrastructure, implement batch ingestion, and collaborate with DBAs to enforce governance. The role emphasizes self-service data literacy and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• > Master’s degree in data science, analytics, or related field with two years of experience in data analytics.
• > Experience using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible to provision AWS cloud resources.
• > Experience building SQL ETL pipelines using Python and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Expand OCC's analytics capabilities by making data accessible and usable to analysts throughout the organization.
• Design and build internal analytics data warehouse and ETL processes.
• Become an expert on OCC's data sets and support teams in harnessing data.
• Lead the team gathering requirements and designing solutions for analytical questions.
• Collaborate on cloud data warehouse infrastructure with the Data Platform team.
• Develop and maintain batch data ingestion for extraction and loading to targets.
• Build data models for downstream analysis and dashboards.
• Tune performance and manage storage in the analytics warehouse.
• Collaborate with DBAs on access controls and governance.
• Create documentation and testing for data reliability.
• Promote self-service and data literacy across the business.
• Invest in ongoing learning and evaluate best practices.
