Job summary

JLL in Florence, SC is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure optimal facility operations through expert maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building systems. The role requires specialization in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant) with multi-skilled capabilities across other systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and system monitoring to keep buildings at peak performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Ability to analyze operation of building systems and take corrective action.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to building systems.
• Manage facility services, preventative maintenance, and inventory control.
• Inspect and calibrate HVAC systems and equipment.
• Record readings and adjust operations as needed.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean workspace.
• Monitor contractor work quality and pricing.
