Cushman & Wakefield in Miami, FL seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering staff, oversee the mechanical operations, energy management, and preventive maintenance across assigned properties, and align with management, client expectations, and the C&W platform.

This senior role requires 7+ years in commercial property operations, licenses, and strong budgeting, contractual maintenance, and coordination with outside contractors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and control systems.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required.
• Vocational/Technical training certificate.
• Universal Technician for CFC’s depending on market licensure requirements.
• Familiar with Energy Management System (EMS)/programming and fire alarm systems.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training and development.
• Oversee and coordinate maintenance programs, safety procedures and compliance.
• Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants, and engineers on projects and repairs.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure building systems operate reliably.
