Job summary

Stream Realty Partners in Nashville seeks a Lead Building Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair and alterations of buildings and equipment across the portfolio. You will plan and schedule work, supervise service contracts, and provide technical assistance to the Chief Building Engineer while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Commercial Building Operations or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication with tenants and vendors.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, and life safety systems.
• Follows OSHA standards and building safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Oversee minor construction or building alteration projects.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Develop and administer maintenance contracts, bids, and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate building maintenance with other departments, the public, and external agencies.
• Inspect buildings for safety hazards, maintenance needs, and accessibility requirements.
• Prepare plans and specifications for small remodeling, alteration, and construction projects.
• Provide time and materials cost estimates.
• Analyze energy usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
