Job summary

Foundry Commercial is seeking a Building Engineer in Nashville to perform and oversee maintenance for a portfolio of properties. You will ensure minimal disruption to client operations, manage service requests, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

The role requires hands-on trade skills, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to read blueprints. A strong focus on safety, service, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 3+ years field experience or 5+ years total field experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Superior customer service and collaborative style.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under time constraints.
• Sound troubleshooting skills and problem resolution abilities.
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and perform basic trades.
• Possess Universal License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client space work is performed with minimal disruption and cleanup.
• Oversee timely completion of client maintenance requests.
• Review monthly service summaries to identify recurring issues.
• Maintain adequate stock of tools and supplies.
• Evaluate vendors for quality and pricing.
• Prepare purchase orders and verify deliveries.
• Monitor equipment warranties and manuals.
• Provide on-call support and after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Lead event setup/teardown with electrical and A/V coordination.
