Princeton Management is seeking a building engineer for a Detroit, MI housing complex. You will lead a maintenance team, coordinate tasks with the property manager, and ensure high resident satisfaction through proactive upkeep and safety practices.

The role requires strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge, plus two years of maintenance supervision. A valid driver's license is necessary, and the company offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
• Experience supervising and leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in HVAC, EPA refrigerant recovery, etc. are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor maintenance staff; supervise maintenance team and coordinate with property manager.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests; ensure timely completion and safety compliance.
• Inspect apartments and common areas; manage inventory and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and coworkers; lead by example.
