Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor in Houston to direct maintenance and repair operations across a portfolio of buildings. You will oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and staffing, while developing preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of related experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladders; able to lift 50 lbs+).
• Innovative mindset to develop methods beyond existing solutions.
• Ability to solve unique problems with broad business impact.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate scheduling.
• Manage daily team activities, set work plans, and deadlines; mentor staff.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure maintenance teams have information and materials to complete work efficiently.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, PM activities, and projects.
• Contribute to budgets for facilities maintenance and operational plans.
• Respond to emergencies and seek needed assistance.
• Share expertise across disciplines and coach others to grow knowledge.
