Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three+ years experience as Building Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of operating building systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues.
• Proficient with Building Automation Systems and MS Office tools.
• Complete Hines Engineering Training program within timeframe.
• Familiar with reading testing equipment and use of basic hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Lead a crew in day-to-day operations and maintenance; manage scheduling and budgets.
• Maintain operation logs and records for plant operations and inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants and operation staff to ensure service quality.
• Follow safety policies and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting for the property.
