Job summary

Hines is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site property operations team. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, to ensure safe, reliable comfort for tenants.

You will perform preventive maintenance, adjust equipment, maintain logs, and respond to tenant requests while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This full-time onsite position offers hands-on experience with industry-leading facilities

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Two+ years of commercial HVAC or related experience.
Completion of the Hines Introduction to Engineering training.
Familiarity with Engineering Assessment Guidelines.
Ability to read manuals and use testing/measurement devices.
Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
Able to meet shift requirements and work five days on-site.
Licenses or permits such as Boiler Operating Permit or EPA certification when applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
Adjust HVAC equipment to meet operating criteria set by supervision.
Maintain operation logs for central plant and chemical usage.
Respond promptly to tenant requests with professional conduct.
Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Participate in required training and team collaboration.
