Job summary
WSP in Charlotte seeks a Lead Consultant - Building Enclosures to join our Property & Buildings Team. The role focuses on design, documentation, and on-site observations for commercial and industrial projects, with responsibility for enclosure systems, energy considerations, and coordination with DoD, NPS, and other agencies.
The successful candidate will bring licensure as an Architect or PE, 7–10 years of relevant experience, strong skills in AutoCAD/Revit, and experience with LEED or similar
Qualifications
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
- 7–10 years of post-education experience in building enclosures, preservation, and sustainability.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and related technical software.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of architectural tasks to promote technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Practice Building Enclosure Systems and Building Preservation principles.
- Perform on-site construction observations.
- Support multi-disciplinary on-site forensic investigations.
- Assist with project research, analysis and design calculations.
- Prepare reports, design documents and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Review fenestration, vertical facade, roofing systems and waterproofing.
- Provide building enclosure commissioning and consulting services.
- Assist with building enclosure design reviews.
- Assist with functional performance testing of enclosure systems.
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
