Qualifications

• Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings.
• To be assigned to Assignment Level II, three years of satisfactory experience are required.
• To be assigned to Assignment Level III and IV, four years of satisfactory experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all areas building cleaning and maintenance operations for HRA facilities.
• Supervise custodial staff and contracted custodial personnel.
• Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and site visits to assess cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
• Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to meet standards.
• Monitor performance and productivity of staff and contractors, addressing deficiencies.
• Coordinate custodial coverage by adjusting staffing and schedules.
• Maintain inventories of supplies, materials, and equipment; ensure proper storage and distribution.
• Prepare reports on building conditions, staffing, and facilities issues.
• Respond to building-related concerns and take corrective action.
• Ensure staff follow agency policies and safety requirements.
• Arrange training for custodial staff to maintain safety and effectiveness.
• Provide guidance on cleaning methods and equipment usage.
• Maintain communication with supervisors on significant issues.
