Job summary

Penske Entertainment in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Broadcast Systems Engineer to manage IMSP control rooms and on-site technical operations. You will lead the technical crew, ensure smooth production, and deliver high-quality fan experiences at major events.

The role requires expertise in broadcast systems, 2110 standards, and strong leadership in fast-paced live environments, with extended hours during race weekends and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience as Engineer in Charge of mobile units or large-scale remote productions (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of broadcast video production theory and practice.
• Familiarity with 2110 standards and applications.
• Ability to interpret manuals and drawings for complex broadcast systems.
• Proficiency in using broadcast test equipment (meters, waveform monitors, vector scopes, spectrum analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Maintain control and tech rooms; keep systems operational.
• Install, maintain, and repair all broadcast systems.
• QC audio, video, and data signals from remote sites.
• Lead on-site technical crew during events.
• Support production staff with event setup and execution.
• Serve as IMSP on-site engineering representative.
• Prepare timely technical reports within 24 hours of events.
• Review maintenance logs and follow up on repairs.
• Coordinate with transmission engineers for streaming equipment.
• Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
