Job summary

Penske Entertainment seeks a Technical Manager to join IMS Productions in Indianapolis. The role coordinates technical, operational, and logistical needs for INDYCAR broadcasts at venues nationwide, working closely with INDYCAR, FOX Sports, crews, and vendors.

The position is hands-on, travel-heavy, and requires strong planning, leadership, and on-site execution to ensure events are properly prepared and executed seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring experience in live sports broadcasting.
• Willingness to travel frequently to INDYCAR-related events.
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create camera lists and maps for INDYCAR on FOX broadcasts.
• Develop TV compound layouts for each venue.
• Coordinate broadcast needs between INDYCAR and FOX Sports.
• Obtain vendor quotes and coordinate rental equipment/services.
• Submit purchase-orders prior to rental finalization.
• Coordinate receipt and placement of heavy equipment at racetracks.
• Request broadcast credentials and parking permits for personnel.
• Coordinate catering orders for broadcast teams.
• Assist with day-to-day on-site broadcast operations at each venue.
• Supervise seasonal crew members assigned to INDYCAR broadcasts.
• Plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee broadcast activities.
