Job summary

Otak, Inc. in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced Bridge/Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team.

You will design, analyze, and oversee bridge and structural projects, collaborating with engineers, planners, architects, and clients across public and private sectors. You will mentor junior staff, ensure design conformance with AASHTO and WSDOT standards, and lead project delivery from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil or Structural Engineering degree and WA PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 7–10 years of bridge/structural engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead plans, specs, and cost estimates for bridges and related structures.
• Perform design per local, state, and federal standards.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD.
• Perform site inspections of structural elements.
• Lead or assist bridge inspections and load-rating work.
• Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision.
• Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team members.
• Support proposals, project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Participate in business development and client relations.
