Job summary

Otak seeks an experienced Bridge/Structural Engineer for our Redmond, WA office to design and deliver bridge and structural projects with multidisciplinary teams and clients. You will balance form, function, safety, sustainability, constructability, schedule, and budget.

The role entails leading design, design checks, site inspections, and coordination with project teams; a Civil/Structural degree is required and licensure in WA or ability to obtain within 6 months; 7–10 years of bridge

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
Washington license as Civil or Structural Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
7–10 years of proven bridge/structural engineering experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and typical structural software (LPILE, PGSuper, MIDAS).

Responsibilities

Design and lead structural engineers/designers/technicians in plans, specs, construction estimates for bridges and related structures.
Perform design services per local, state, and federal standards.
Prepare and lead construction plans using AutoCAD.
Conduct site inspections of structural elements.
Lead or assist with bridge inspections and load ratings.
Coordinate projects with limited supervision.
Assist in team staffing and scheduling.
Support proposals, scope, schedule and budget.
Engage in business development and client relationships.
Provide construction support and review submittals.
