Job summary

Otak, Inc. in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced Bridge/Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of transportation, park, and transit structures.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver plans with a focus on safety, sustainability, and constructability. You should have a Civil/Structural engineering degree, WA licensure (or willing to obtain within 6 months), and 7–10 years of bridge/structural experience; strong communication and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered Washington Civil or Structural Engineer license required, or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of proven bridge and structural engineering experience.
• Demonstrated client services and business development skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead structural engineers/designers/technicians in bridges and transportation structures, with cost estimates and calculations.
• Perform design services meeting local, state and federal standards.
• Prepare and lead construction plans using AutoCAD.
• Conduct site inspections of structural elements.
• Lead or assist bridge inspections and load ratings.
• Coordinate projects with limited supervision; assign duties and schedules.
