Job summary

Sea Crow Search seeks an experienced accounting professional to own the books end to end in QuickBooks Online. You will report directly to the President and sit in board meetings, building a true activity-based costing discipline that reveals project and service-line margins.

From day one you will dive into the current system, design processes, implement them, and drive reconciliations and monthly close. The role offers autonomy, impact, and growth as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years bookkeeping experience; construction, contracting, or job-cost environments preferred.
• Track record building processes where none existed.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of AP/AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll coordination, month-end close.
• Design and implement an activity-based costing structure (QBO Projects, classes, cost tracking).
• Identify issues, create solutions, and implement them without being asked twice.
• Clean up historical records and establish lasting reconciliation discipline.
• Create, implement, and administer SOPs and process improvements across accounting.
• Deliver monthly financials and job-level margin reporting to the President and board.
