Job summary

White Bear Lake Area School District in White Bear Lake, MN is seeking a Head Custodial Engineer for Vadnais and Lakeaires. Work hours are 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 8 hours per day, on about 260 days per year.

The role oversees boilers and HVAC and supervises custodial staff, coordinating with district staff for reliable operations. Minnesota boiler license is preferred; a valid MN driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with substantial boiler/building maintenance experience.
• Associates or technical degree preferred.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts maintenance checks and services boiler and HVAC systems.
• Maintains electrical and plumbing systems and equipment.
• Coordinates activities with custodial, building and grounds staff to ensure efficient operation of systems.
• Trains, assigns, oversees and inspects the work of custodial staff.
• Monitors building automation systems to maximize efficiency.
• Performs and inspects building life safety systems and arranges outside services as needed.
• Monitors hours worked by custodial staff and assists with events.
