Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is required.
• ASCP certification or equivalent certification is required (AMT/AAB accepted).
• 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The supervisor provides direct supervision of the daily operations of the laboratory section and/or area.
• Oversee and efficiently perform procedures and tests as ordered for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Maintain analyzers and quality control; collect specimens; manage supplies per standards of practice and policy.
• Provide recommendations and action plans for improvements of system processes in their section/area.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field

Other bachelor's degrees considered if coursework meets certifying agency requirements
