Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, 3 years of clinical experience, and certification in medical technology with MT/MLS credentials. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field is Required
• Other bachelor's degrees accepted if science and math coursework meet certifying agency requirements
• 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Certification in medical technology; MT/MLS through ASCP/AMT/AAB; AAB provisional not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of daily operations in the laboratory section and/or area.
• Oversee maintenance of the analyzers and quality control.
• Ensure proper collection of specimens and supplies per policy and procedure.
• Provide recommendations and action plans for improvement of system processes.
