Job summary

Quick Supply Co. in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Blaster to lead or assist in design, preparation and detonation of blasts at customer sites while ensuring strict safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating safety, reviewing drill logs, loading charges, and maintaining reports. The role requires 4–5 years blasting experience, a current Blasting License, ATF eligibility, and ability to work long hours outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years blasting experience in the explosives industry required.
• Must possess a current Blasting License.
• Able to meet ATF eligibility as Employee Possessor.
• Ability to lead effectively and communicate professionally.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, blasting software and equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Develop or assist in blast plan to maximize performance and meet customer requirements.
• Conduct blast crew meetings and coordinate safety protocols.
• Collaborate with crew to verify performance and provide feedback.
• Review drill logs to verify patterns.
• Load explosives and direct loading from bulk trucks.
• Ensure pre-blast inspections for safe area and detonation.
• Detonate blast as blaster-in-charge when required.
• Complete field blast reports and magazine inventory reports.
• Communicate with site managers and customers to build partnerships.
• Other duties to optimize blasting services and site operations.
