Job summary

Quick Supply Co. is seeking an experienced Blaster to lead or assist in design, layout, preparation and detonation of blasts at customer sites, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes developing a site blast plan, coordinating with the crew, and maintaining safety protocols on every job. Responsibilities include loading explosives, verifying pre-blast inspections, detonation, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years blasting experience in the explosives industry.
• Current Blasting License.
• Able to meet ATF eligibility requirements as Employee Possessor.
• Ability to lead effectively and communicate professionally.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and perform physically strenuous work daily.
• CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements required.
• Willingness to work long hours to meet customer objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in design, layout, preparation and detonation of blasts at customer sites while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Develop blast plans to maximize performance and meet customer requirements.
• Participate in blast crew meetings and coordinate responsibilities and safety protocols.
• Work with blast crew to verify performance and provide feedback.
• Review drill logs to verify drill patterns.
• Load explosives in blast holes by hand and direct drivers to load holes.
• Verify pre-blast inspections and ensure safe blast area and detonation.
• Detonate blast as blaster-in-charge.
• Complete paperwork including field blast reports and inventory reports.
• Communicate with site managers and customers to develop strong partnerships.
• Perform additional duties to support blasting services and site operations.
