Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD seeks a Principal/Senior Principal BIT Systems Engineer to lead Built-In-Test (BIT) activities for the MLSS business unit. The role requires 100% on-site work and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or higher; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year, in STEM fields.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain SAP.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with MATLAB for Data Analysis and sensor simulations for RF sensors.
• Experience in integration and test of RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems; C/C++ code review.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIT mode design, development, and fault isolation/detection.
• Verify BIT functions and ensure sensor performance is maintained.
• Derive BIT requirements and evaluate modeling/analysis effectiveness.
• Lead a team to develop and integrate software using C++ and Python.
• Produce publication-quality documentation and support Factory Test activities.
