Job summary

RRD is seeking a Bindery Specialist in Orlando to set up and operate a range of binding and finishing equipment, including inkjet devices, case making, and folders. You will monitor quality, productivity, and safety while coordinating multiple work stations and directing crew to deliver finished books and catalogs.

The role requires reading work orders, calculating machine settings, and applying finishing techniques across various bindery processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and job specs indicating machine operations and accuracy.
• Must calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Skill in using standard and specialized bindery tools to adjust and maintain equipment.
• Knowledge of complex bindery machines and finishing processes.
• Understanding of different paper stock qualities and finishing impacts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate various bindery machines and finishing devices.
• Operate automatic bindery units and related equipment to produce final books and catalogs.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain operational readiness.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew and monitor quality, output and productivity in production.
• Ensure adherence to specifications and maintain dimensional accuracy.
