Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 6+ years of legal billing experience; 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in billing software (Aderant/Elite) and e-billing platforms.
• Understanding of legal billing procedures, fee arrangements, and client guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Interact with all levels of legal staff across multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of billing professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Develop, document, and implement streamlined billing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Provide hands-on support to billing coordinators, troubleshooting day-to-day challenges.
• Act as liaison between Intake Group and Billing Department to ensure approved terms.
• Manage monthly billing compliance, generate reports, and present findings to senior management.
• Serve as primary contact with IT for billing-related issues, especially Aderant Expert.
• Escalate critical billing concerns to CFO and Director as needed.
• Manage a portfolio of billing attorneys, ensuring excellent service and accurate billing.
• Oversee timely responses to client and attorney requests for billing information.
• Collaborate with Pricing team to communicate client billing arrangements.
• Support additional billing and financial operations as needed.
