Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer to bridge our data platform and business stakeholders, delivering enterprise reports and analytics.

You will design Power BI solutions, govern data, mentor team members, and drive AI-enabled insights using DAX, SQL, and automation. Remote in the US with a competitive Colorado pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of BI experience with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
• Experience translating requirements from stakeholders into reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
• Collaborate with leaders to define KPIs and translate objectives into scalable reports.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure reporting integrity across the organization.
• Establish reporting standards, governance, security, and documentation.
• Drive BI adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership, code/review, and BI best-practice guidance.
• Leverage AI and automation to accelerate development and insights from data.
• Maintain AI-ready data models and semantic layers for trustworthy analytics.
