Job summary

COOLSOFT is seeking a Lead Power BI Developer to guide a team in migrating from legacy reporting to modern Power BI solutions. You will design, build, test, and deliver enterprise reports sourced from BigQuery data marts to support daily operations, leadership decisions, and analytics initiatives.

The role emphasizes mentoring, governance, and cross-functional collaboration with data engineers and ETL teams. Remote work arrangements apply for this contract engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience with ETL and Reporting/BI tools.
• Proven ability to serve as a Technical Lead for a team of 4+ developers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of data models and enterprise reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, redesign, and modernization of legacy reporting into new Power BI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to a team of 4+ Power BI developers.
• Work with business partners, data engineers, and ETL developers to source data from BigQuery marts.
• Develop visually effective, accessible, and standardized reports aligned with agency requirements.
• Ensure Power BI assets follow governance, security, and documentation standards.
• Perform testing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability across reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and support enterprise reporting needs.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and report specifications.
