Job summary

MetLife is seeking a senior BI engineer to turn data into actionable insights. You will design KPI dashboards, optimize performance across Qlik, Power BI, and Cognos, and guide analytics initiatives with business partners.

You will mentor teammates, develop reusable components, and promote data governance. The role is hybrid with a strong emphasis on scalable BI solutions and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or foreign equivalent) with 8+ years in BI and dashboards.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or foreign equivalent) with 6+ years in BI and dashboards.
• Experience designing high-performance dashboards across Qlik, Power BI, and Cognos.
• Experience optimizing queries and data models for scalable enterprise reporting.
• Ability to lead and mentor BI development teams and establish coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business problems with stakeholders to design KPIs and dashboards.
• Develop and test BI scripts and machine learning models; write SQL queries and procedures.
• Improve data sources, data treatment, aggregation rules, and data quality.
• Lead and mentor team members; promote reusable components and best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to productionalize BI solutions and ensure performance.
